adalah gitaris yang bukan hanya gitaris yang mempunyai tehnik tinggi dalam memainkan gitarnya, tapi bagaimana gitaris tersebut bisa dikenal walaupun orang baru mendengar suara gitarnya melalui radio. Sebagai contoh seorang penggemar Eddie van Halen mendengar satu lagu yang belum dia kenal namun bisa tahu kalau yang memainkan gitar di lagu tersebut adalah Eddie van Halen. Seorang gitaris juga harus bisa menjadi bagian penting dalam Band yang di ikuti, sebagai contoh, apa jadinya Led zeppelin tanpa Jimmy page, atau Metallica tanpa Kirk Hammet.
